My photography has always been important to me and is primarily inspired by the travels I have been fortunate enough to enjoy in my life so far. From when I got my first Hanimex 35mm point and shoot on a family holiday as a child (I still have the photo album) I have always enjoyed snapping away and in recent years my understanding of the elements of composition and exposure have improved.
After using a Nikon F60 film SLR and a couple of Sony digital point and shoots for a few years I completed my switch to digital about 6 years ago with my first DSLR, a Canon EOS 350D. The majority of photos on this site were taken during 2011 when I travelled around the world with a 550D + 18-200mm lens in hand and a Canon S95 underwater. Having become more and more enthusiastic over the last year I recently upgraded to a full frame 5D mark ii with 24-105mm L series lens and can’t wait to start putting it through its paces! Check back soon for some of the results.
Photography is a passion of mine and I just love taking pictures, trying to capture some great memories and endeavouring to achieve the best composition and exposure I can manage (not that I always get it right). Some friends and family, however, have suggested I try to sell some of my photos so this site is the first step towards showcasing my best work and seeing if there is any interest. If anyone would like to buy any of the images then don’t hesitate to get in touch via the contact form. I would also welcome any questions, comments or suggestions about my photos and this site.
Hopefully this little bio hasn’t bored you too much. I am much better at taking photos than writing about myself. I hope you enjoy the pictures and agree!
